Miniatures

Art objects

You wouldn’t know it, viewing them full screen on the computer, but they’re only three or four centimeters high. The client wanted to be able to view them in detail without having to use a magnifying glass. Very tricky to photograph, with shiny edges, often behind glass. Hard to get the light just right. You realize they were just like living people, looking at the little braids of hair that were woven in there. So you could carry your loved one with you on a long journey, for example.
They are painted with one bristle of a brush. You see the centuries fly past in the different styles.
