In her independent work she remains fascinated by pinhole and infrared photography. On commission she photographs instruments, antique interiors and art objects, and she also creates reports and family portraits.
Ariane started her career as a professional cellist. She obtained her teaching and solo diploma at the Conservatory in Rotterdam and studied chamber music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
She has toured with the Icarus Ensemble through Japan, Sweden and the US. The ensemble’s CD ‘Flights of Fancy’ won a Diapason d’Or.
Although Ariane initially combined her work as a photographer with a career as a musician, she chose to pursue a career in photography.
