In addition to being a director, Ariane also works a lot as a teacher. She also regularly gives lectures on various topics, such as Photography and Art, Movement in Photography, Pinhole Photography, Infrared Photography about Point of View and the role and history of Color in photography.

Commissioned, she photographs precious instruments (The Strad ), antique interiors (Amstel Hotel) and art objects , as well as portraits and family portraits.

As for her own work, she remains fascinated by pinhole and infrared photography.

She is always exploring the boundaries of the medium and also makes photo poems, a combination of text and image. Ariane started her career as a cellist. She obtained her teaching and solo diploma at the conservatory in Rotterdam and a chamber music note at the royal conservatory in The Hague. She has toured with the Icarus Ensemble through Japan, Sweden and the US. With the Icarus Ensemble she made a CD that won a Diapason d’Or .

Although she combined photography and cello playing for many years, photography became her choice.
